I'm curious to know what other people think, though.

The reasons my colleagues give for liking it sound good from a faculty perspective, but I'm not sure how well it would go over with students (for one thing, it's another $15 on the price of the text).

Analysis Model tutorials (AMT) John Jewett developed over 160 tutorials that strengthen students' problem solving skills by guiding them through the steps in the problem-solving process.

Important first steps include making predictions and focusing strategy on physics concepts before starting to solve the problem quantitatively.

The Web Assign content for Physics for Scientists and Engineers 9/e by Serway and Jewett includes an extensive bank of more than 6,500 questions including end-of-chapter problems, Quick Prep with algebra and trigonometry remediation questions, and tutorial problems offering feedback and hints to guide students to content mastery.

Does anybody have experience with using Web Assign, either as a student or as an instructor (more data are always good)?

If you've used it, and have an opinion, leave me a comment, or send me email (orzelc at steelypips, which is an org not a com), and let me know what you think.
